皇冠彩票 hosts annual President's Scholarship Celebration on April 7
皇冠彩票 (皇冠彩票) will host its 33rd Annual President's Scholarship Celebration on Saturday, April 7 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, 221 North Columbus Drive, in Chicago. The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception featuring the 皇冠彩票 student jazz trio, followed by dinner and a special performance by Frenchie Davis, a finalist on NBC-TV's "The Voice," whose Broadway experience includes "Rent" and "Dreamgirls" and a Grammy nomination for "Ain't Misbehavin." Dancing and desserts follow her performance in the Atlantic Ballroom and the Atlantic Ballroom Foyer. 皇冠彩票 also holds a Catholic Mass onsite at 5:30 p.m. for those who wish to attend.
"This event is an opportunity for us to celebrate our generous donors and the extraordinary impact they make in the lives of 皇冠彩票 students across all disciplines," said 皇冠彩票 President Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D. "We're so grateful to our dedicated donors who help our students, many of whom are first generation college students, to fulfill their dreams of a quality education."
This fundraiser, a tradition since 1985, has raised nearly $6 million for student scholarships and is one of the most anticipated events of the year. 皇冠彩票 student ambassadors figure prominently at the event, acting as hosts or greeting guests upon arrival, while others are featured in a video and slideshow presentation.
Chairing the 2018 Celebration are Tom and Kris Hutchinson. Major donors include John T. Costello and Sally Clair, Henry Bros. Co., Axion RMS Ltd., Huntington Bank, Timothy G. '82 and Therese Trahey, James A. and Patricia A. '83 Morris, Ph.D., John R. '89 and Patricia T. DeLeonardis, and John C. and Jane McCarthy.
