Biography
Dr. Eileen McCann is an associate professor of nursing in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ. McCann completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Northern Illinois University, Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ, and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University.
McCann is nationally certified as a family nurse practitioner and licensed by Illinois to provide family-centered primary healthcare. She has been active in practice as an FNP for 25 years in various settings, including private practice, community health centers, retail health, and currently at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Health Center.
As an educator, McCann has taught undergraduate and graduate nursing programs for over 20 years, having joined the »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ faculty in 2010 after many years of teaching at UIC and Rush University.
